Burnside Community

Burnside rugby is a family orientated club which hosts a number of junior, senior and whole of club/family social events per year. The elected players representative is the go-to person to voice ideas and suggestions for social activities. BRUFC hosts a handful of annual social events and several other surprise adventures such as pub golf, thrift shop karaoke, and Beer pong. Ticket sales and event advertising can be found on the club social media pages.

Presidents Day

An annual event hosted by our Club President with a VIP area, finger food and drinks supplied by BRUFC to thank our many generous sponsors and volunteers.

Ladies Day

Usually hosted in the second half of the playing season, BRUFC proudly holds a Ladies day function to thank the mothers, wives, and partners, of players and club members for their tireless efforts and support throughout the season.

In true community spirit, the club dedicates the day and funds raised to a nominated relevant charity including Beyond Blue, White Ribbon Australia and the Women’s Safety Services of SA.

Calcutta

A major fund raiser each season is the Calcutta’s. Players from the first grade womens and mens teams are auctioned, for the chance to back to the first try scorer of the nominated game. Had proceeds go to the club and half are shared between the try scoring player and their purchaser.

Beer Pong

The first social event of each year is always dress up beer pong.

Senior Presentation Dinner

The name says it all; this is the one night of each year when we award the outstanding players, coaches, managers and volunteers from our Under 18’s, Senior Women and all Senior Mens teams.

Junior Presentation day

A family day that not only celebrates all of our junior players, awards outstanding junior club contributors, coaches and managers, but also a day to share lunch and a huge amount of fun and games for all ages!

Miss Burnside

A biannual drag showcase event, by invitation only; it has be seen to be believed.
